II Chronicles 5:13-14
"It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth forever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God."

The Mending Hearts Church Music Department, as one body unified in spirit and with a heart of purity, purpose to glorify God, to humbly serve Him in a spirit of excellence as ministers of music, hope, and agape love... To lead others into His divine presence through thanksgiving, praise and worship.
Music Ministry Mission Statement
To inspire, encourage, train, and direct those whom God has called into the music ministry with a spirit of service, excellence, sensitivity, purity, humility and strength.

Worship Team Application
Mending Hearts Worship team members are chosen based on the following:
-
musical ability (correct notes, correct rhythm, good memorization and diction, ability to read chord charts, ability to improvise)
-
stage presence (self confidence, posture, pleasant appearance)
-
experience (ability to minister in spite of pressure, nervousness, or imperfect monitor mixes)
-
calling (Is this person already a worshipper and called to lead others?)
-
attitude (ability to be a team player with a positive, cooperative attitude)
-
character (none of us are perfect, but members of the Mending Hearts Worship Team should live lives that reflect their love for Jesus Christ)
-
timing (Does the person need further development in any of the above areas before they are ready for praise and worship ministry during a MHC service?)
